Adele is in the studio working on a follow-up to her 2011 mega-hit album, 21.  British tabloid The Sun cites a source that claims:

"Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible.  The team she’s assembled is first rate and she’s confident they can help match the success of her first two albums.  It’s no easy task as the world will be desperate to hear it.”

In 2011, Adele released 21, named after her age at the time.  It has sold over 26 million copies worldwide since it's release.  Her first album was called 19 and was also named for her age at the time.  Adele turns 25 next month.  Hopefully, her next album will be called 25.

The British singer-songwriter has been busy since releasing her last album.  She became a mother in October of 2012.  She also won an Oscar for her performance of Skyfall, the theme to the latest James Bond film.
