Bon Jovi will not get paid for their sold out concert at Spain's Vicente Calderon stadium next month.

The band is currently on a tour of European stadiums and arenas.  They originally planned on skipping Spain where the employment rate is 27 percent and 57 percent for youths.  Jon Bon Jovi told the Spanish newspaper El Mundo:

"When we started planning our tour for our album, 'What about now', we did a study and found that, due to the economic situation, Spain wouldn't be on the roadmap.  However, we didn't want to ditch the fans of a country I love and has treated me so well for 30 years."

Tickets for the show were priced between $23 and $50, which is significantly cheaper than tickets to most Bon Jovi concerts.  That will cover stadium operating costs.
