Bruce Springsteen has supported Democratic politicians throughout his entire career.  He played for George McGovern in 1972.  In 1984, Springsteen would not let President Ronald Reagan use Born in the USA while campaigning.  He supported Barack Obama in 2008 and is supporting his re-election.

At a pro-Obama rally Thursday, Springsteen performed a solo, acoustic set of songs after former President Bill Clinton spoke to a crowd.  He performed one of his biggest songs, Thunder Road, as well as Woody Guthrie's This Land is Your Land.  He also debuted a song using the Obama slogan, Forward.
