Garbage took eight years to release an album after 2005's Bleed Like Me and, "18 years to finally get our s**t together," according to drummer Butch Vig.  Now, the band is gearing up to head back into the studio to record a follow-up to 2012's Not Your Kind of People album.

The band will record in January and early February before hitting the road in 2013.  Singer Shirley Manson tells Rolling Stone, "We can do two or three tracks, release these tracks and then go on the road."

So, the band will likely be content with releasings songs as they finish them instead of putting together a traditional album.
