Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx is considering what the end of the band will look like.  In an interview with Loudwire, Sixx discussed what he wanted to do before the end:

"Motley Crue is really at one of our highest points we’ve been and I would like to see us even climb higher by seeing us finish our movie, an album and then maybe announcing a farewell tour and going out at the top. It would be a really nice look."

Sixx does say that there is no animosity between members of the band.  But, he says that the band is concerned about their legacy and doesn't want to beat a dead horse.

Singer Vince Neil has said that the band has no plan to release a new album.  But, Sixx says he has worked on some ideas and that guitarist Mick Mars has worked on some riffs.
