The Allman Brothers Band Is Re-Releasing "Brothers And Sisters" Album

The Allman Brothers Band Is Re-Releasing

The Allman Brothers Band lost their leader, Duane Allman, in 1971.  The next year, in almost the exact same spot, they lost their bassist, Berry Oakley.

After regrouping from so much loss, the band released the 1973 album, Brothers And Sisters.  The album helped push the band to new heights, largely because of the success of the album's best known song, Ramblin' Man.

Now, the band is re-releasing the album to celebrate it's 40th anniversary.  You can get a deluxe four-CD set which features two live discs from a performance on September 26th, 1973 in San Franscisco.

Rolling Stone has one of the songs on the live CD, a jamming version of One Way Out, from the band's Eat A Peach album.
