Week 3 of the preseason is generally considered to be as close to the real thing as it gets in the NFL.
So, you should expect to see starters play at least one half, and probably more, when the Baltimore Ravens host the Washington Redskins on Saturday night.
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco notes the importance of the game, "This is obviously an important game as far as preseason goes, because it's the most we play. We want to go out there and play well and have the confidence to go into the regular season feeling like we're ready to go."
Both teams have won their first two preseason games.
This will be the eighth time the two teams have faced each other in the preseason. The Ravens lead the series, 5-2.
In the regular season, the teams have played five times. The Ravens have a slight 3-2 edge. But, the Redskins emerged victorious in overtime the last time the two teams faced each other.
Washington fans may not remember that game so fondly, however. Quarterback Robert Griffin III was injured and was forced to leave that game.
