Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder told CSN Washington that he has already started the process of designing a new stadium for his team.
Snyder said, "Whether it's Washington, D.C., whether it's another stadium in Maryland, whether it's a stadium in Virginia, we've started the process.”
He added that he's met with architectural firms and that he wants "to be very retro with it" meaning he wants the new stadium "to feel like RFK."
The team's current home is FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. The stadium opened in 1997, prior to Snyder's purchase of the team.
Prior the FedEx Field, Washington Redskins games were played in RFK Stadium, which opened in 1961.
