Stacey is an award-winning broadcaster and speaker. She’s has been named to the Charlotte Business Journal’s Forty under 40 and as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Mecklenburg County by the Mecklenburg Times.

Stacey can currently been seen on WTVI’s Carolina Impact news show and heard on 102.9 The Lake (WLKO). She also appears on WCNC’s “The Professionals” weekly news & opinion panel. She is a well-know and highly rated speaker.

For more than a decade, Stacey hosted Charlotte’s top-rate morning radio news show. She also worked as a TV anchor and reporter in Charlotte at CBS affiliate WBTV and in Syracuse and Utica, New York. She won several Associated Press awards in her time as a TV medical reporter.

Stacey’s son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in December of 2006, one month before he turned two. Stacey began writing about diabetes one month later and is now a community blogger & speaker for Animas Corporation (part of Johnson & Johnson). She is very active with the Charlotte Chapter of JDRF and donates all profits from her award-winning cookbook, I Can’t Cook, But I Know Someone Who Can, to JDRF ($15,000 so far).

Stacey grew up in Yorktown Heights, NY and is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. She lives near Charlotte with her husband and their two children. They’ve decided to try to visit all 50 states in the next ten years (airports don’t count)!
