Judas Priest, Deep Purple Announce Summer Co-Headlining Tour

Judas Priest and Deep Purple Announce Co-Headlining Tour

Two band's that defined the sound and fury of hard rock and heavy metal will once again join forces this summer.

Heavy metal legends Judas Priest and hard rock pioneers Deep Purple on Monday revealed a five-week co-headlining North American tour, set to begin in late August.

General public on sale is Friday, April 27, at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale for Citi cardholders begins April 24, at 10 a.m. via LiveNation

Judas Priest is currently still on its U.S. tour in support of the band's acclaimed new album, Firepower, its 18th studio effort, which debuted at #1 on the U.S. Hard Rock charts and #5 on the Billboard 200.

"This is a testimony to our metal maniacs, our fans, here in North America...particularly in this instance," said frontman Rob Halford in March to Q104.3 New York's "Out of the Box" with Jonathan Clarke of the album's success. "It just shows you this incredible heavy metal love affair that continues to thrive."

Deep Purple released InFinite in 2017 — its 20th studio album — and toured the U.S. last summer in another co-headlining jaunt with Alice Cooper.
