BREAKING: David Tepper Approved to be Carolina Panthers Owner

David Tepper, a hedge fund founder and Pittsburgh Steelers minority owner, has been approved as the owner of the Carolina Panthers. Tepper was officially approved on Tuesday, May 22 at NFL owners meetings in Atlanta, Georgia. He needed 24 out of 32 votes from owners to be approved. The deal won't be complete until late July.

The deal is the biggest in NFL history as Tepper reportedly bought the team for a whopping $2.275 billion.

Tepper replaces Jerry Richardson after he was forced to step down due to workplace misconduct and sexual harassment allegations. The NFL is still investigating Richardson.
