Mandalay Bay Owners Sue Victims of Vegas Shooting

In a very bizarre case, the Mandalay Bay Resort has sued victims of the Las Vegas shooting, claiming they are not responsible for the tragedy.

Mandalay Bay filed two federal complaints against more than 1,000 victims of the October 2017 shooting. The complaints were filed in both Nevada and California. MGM, the owner of both the Mandalay Bay Resort and the Route 91 Harvest Festival, believe claims against the hotel must be dismissed.

"I've never seen a more outrageous thing, where they sue the victims in an effort to find a judge they like," Robert Eglet, a lawyer for some of the victims, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Las Vegas shooting took 58 lives and injured hundreds.
