The PRAI 5k is our second annual community fundraiser dedicated to raising funds for research and education into PANS & PANDAS; A childhood neuroimmune disorder that is estimated to effect as 1 in 200 children

1 in 5 children suffer from a severe mental impairment.

PANS may affect up to 4.6 million children worldwide according to the PANS Research Consortium.

  • 1 in 13 teenagers is referred to emergency services with thoughts or attempts of suicide.
  • PANS/PANDAS symptoms include a mix of OCD, anorexia, tics, ADHD, sensory abnormalities, anxiety, motor abnormalities, emotional lability, developmental regression and are thought to be caused by a faulty immune reaction to an environmental trigger such as viral, bacterial or metabolic insults.

PRAI's mission is to empower communities to fund cutting edge neuroimmune disorders and advocate for quality care for these inflammatory brain disorders.
