SWISH! NBA All-Star 2019 is right around the corner!
The 68th annual NBA All-Star Game will take place in the Queen City at the Spectrum Center on February 17, 2019. It is anticipated that more than 150,000 fans will be in town which means a lot of traffic, changes in transportation, and high security to come our way.
A few things to take note of:
It’s best to avoid taking bags of any sort to the Spectrum Center. All bags will be prohibited unless it is smaller than 14” x 14” x 6”. Try to avoid Uptown if possible because there will be substantial pedestrian traffic and lots of road closures. The LYNX Blue Line light rail will also be experiencing changes due to NBA All-Star festivities. This includes traveling light (no backpacks, purses, etc.) if taking the LYNX and potential security sweeps. There will also be specific drop-off and pick-up areas for Lyft and Uber.
