CHARLOTTE, N.C.- A family-owned farm in south Charlotte that’s been around for a century is moving to make way for a new hospital. A deal to sell the family farm on Providence Road West to Novant Health for over $20 million is almost done.
Novant is planning a 161,000-square-foot hospital with 36 beds and three ORs. It's a $154 million investment Novant said will provide better access to vital care.
An application with the state is still pending along with a rezoning petition with the city.
