Childress Klein and Duke Energy are adding to the Charlotte Skyline.
The new building is named "Charlotte Metro Tower" and will occupy the parking lot across Tryon from Duke Energy Center, next to the Gantt Center. The office tower is going to stand 40 stories high and house up to 4,000 Duke Energy employees.
Completion is expected to be in 2022.
