Charlotte Douglas Advising Flyers Before Fourth of July Travel Period

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Airport officials are advising flyers if you are heading to Charlotte Douglas on Wednesday -- you're going to have a lot of company, which means parking lots will fill quickly and security lines could be long.

The airport said Wednesday and Sunday will be the busiest days of the July 4 travel period.

An airport spokesperson told Channel 9 travelers should plan to arrive at least two to three hours before their flight.

Charlotte-Douglas officials said the airport has already broken its originating passenger record during the 2019 summer traveling season.
