Congratulations are in order for Amy Duggar and Dillon King!
The reality star and her husband celebrated the birth of their first child, son Daxton Ryan King, born via C-section on Wednesday (October 9), PEOPLE exclusively confirmed. According to the publication, the proud parents’ newborn weighed 7lbs., 8 oz., and measured 20 inches. It’s said the first-time mom had a “smooth and easy delivery” and that “both mom and baby are great and healthy.”
“I’ve always wanted to be a boy mom! Dillon builds lifted trucks, so I can just imagine how suped-up the Power Wheels will be. We just can’t wait for this little ball of energy to arrive!” the 32-year-old told PEOPLE after revealing in June that the pair was expecting a son. “He’s already named, so let all the embroidery begin. I am so obsessed with baby bath robes!”
The married couple, who announced their pregnancy news in April, already settled on a name for their little man months before he was born.
“Baby Dax we cannot wait to meet you!!” she wrote alongside a picture of their future child’s name written in the sand. “You already bring so much joy into our lives!! We love you so much Daxton Ryan!” Dillion later revealed how the duo decided on Daxton’s name. “On the King side of the family, all the letters begin with the letter ‘D,’” he told the publication in August. “So we were trying to figure out a ‘D’ name that was different, and we landed on Dax, then Daxton.”
Amy is the latest of the Duggar family to welcome a little bundle of joy. Over the summer, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson of Counting On revealed they were also expecting their second child, a daughter.
