The holiday season is in full swing, so holiday events and massive light displays will soon decorate Charlotte. This also includes Charlotte Motor Speedway's annual Speedway Christmas, one of the Queen City's biggest holiday traditions.

Speedway Christmas kick offs Friday (November 18) and runs 6-10 p.m. nearly every night through January 8, 2023, with the exception of Christmas Eve. Guests hoping to get into the holiday spirit can drive on the track to view the incredible display of more than 4 million lights while enjoying synchronized festive music or watching a movie on the big screen Speedway TV, WCNC reports. There will also be vendors and other displays that families and patrons can experience throughout the season.

While the event itself runs almost every day, The Christmas Village will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the exception of December 19-21.

According to the Speedway, Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest nights, so wait times may be higher than other days. Guests on Speedway property by 10 p.m. will be allowed to drive through the show; however, any cars in line on the street outside won't gain entry.

Tickets for Speedway Christmas can be purchased online in advance. General admission is $40 per car, but express lane vehicle passes are available for $70. A bus pass is also available for purchase for $175.
