The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education has voted to move to phased in-person learning as soon as next month. Students and teachers will move into Plan B as follows:
- Phase 1: Pre-K starts to return October 12
- Phase 2: K-5 starts to return November 2
- Phase 3: 6-8 starts to return November 23
- Phase 4: High School starts to return December 14
High school students will specifically go back to school before the holiday break due to EOC testing.
Most teachers will return two weeks before their grade level returns. Teachers are expected to receive more information Thursday.
The motion passed with a 6-3 vote.
